Even in 246 BC, Chickens Were Important

Ever heard of the Terracotta Soldiers?
How about the Terracotta Chickens?

Discovered in the 1920's, the "Terracotta Army" was a mausoleum complex in central China inacted by Emperor Quin in 246 BC. It included an army of 7,000 life-size sculpted clay terracotta soldiers, chariots, horses...and apparently chickens! How cool is that?

My brother-in-law Jim shared this picture from their tour of a special exhibit of Terracotta Soldiers in Stockholm, in Feb 2011 (he and his family live there for an overseas work assignment).
