I have been contacted recently by several folks who are hoping to get "chickens for Christmas" and they're pretty confident that Santa is going to deliver on this one.....while most feed stores in our area don't carry baby chicks until February or March, there are some online hatcheries which offer chicks year-round, depending on where you live. For most people this doesn't give them alot of time to prepare!
To be ready for their new brood by February, I was asked about the types of consultations I offer; it dawned on me that a Chicken Consultation would be an awesome Christmas gift for just about anyone expecting to get chicks in the new year.

Purchase any consultation service between now and Dec. 25th, and receive 20% off the current consultation rate (discount does not apply to any travel fee). I will even snail-mail a special letter for under the tree or to put in the stocking by the fire place!
I highly encourage recipients to schedule their consultation date with me shortly after the new year begins, as dates in February, March, and April will book up quickly in anticipation of spring and chick season.
